What is NAIA™ and Recycled Polyester?

Naia™ is a sustainable cellulose acetate yarn developed by Eastman in Kingsport Tennessee primarily used in apparel and home textiles. Naia™ fabrics are made from pine or eucalyptus pulp sourced from sustainably managed forests, and the manufacturing process involves a closed-loop process where solvents are safely recycled for reuse. Naia™ fabrics are soft, quick-drying, and have reduced pilling. They blend well with other eco-friendly materials like recycled polyester. Naia™ fabrics are also up to 2X as breathable as nylon, modal, and cotton, making it a comfortable in activewear garments.

Recycled Polyester (RPET) It is known for its moisture-wicking properties and its ability to withstand years of frequent wear and washings. All this without losing its shape, color, or soft feel. In addition, recycled polyester is breathable - designed to allow air to pass through the threads of the fiber, making it a great choice for outdoor and athletic wear. Recycled polyester is also lightweight, sweat-proof, and quick drying. It's made from PET, the same material used in clear plastic water bottles, and the process of converting PET into recycled polyester requires less energy than normal polyester.

Care Instructions

Remove the ShockEater Recoil Pad from shirt before laundering. Wash shirt in cold water, tumble dry on low. Do not iron.

To ensure the longevity of the microfiber lens cleaning loth, do not use fabric softener during laundering.
