Less than one month away, the 2015 Great Lakes Grand American marks the kick-off of our summer event calendar! This prestigious Satellite Grand will be hosted by the Michigan Trapshooting Association at the homegrounds in Mason, Michigan. 

Once again we’ll be showcasing our ShockEater® Recoil Pad and also unavailing a few new shooting T-Shirts and Polo Shirts for 2015. As comfortable and easy way to wear your ShockEater® Recoil Pad, these shirts are quickly becoming some of our most popular items. As usual, we expect our inventory on hand to move fast, so stop by our tent early to make sure your favorite color is still available.

For the second year in a row, we’re heading back to Harrisburg for the Great American Outdoor Show! Recognized as the largest consumer event celebrating hunting, fishing and outdoor sports,  it’s one you definitely don’t want to miss.

Not to mention a jam packed schedule including country concerts, fundraising dinners, speaking events, archery competitions, celebrity appearances, seminars, demonstrations and much more!“

When it comes to trade shows for dealers and commercial buyers, there is none bigger than SHOT.  The SHOT Show is the largest and most comprehensive trade show for all professionals involved with the shooting sports, hunting and law enforcement industries and is the fifth largest trade show in Las Vegas. The SHOT Show features more than 1,600 exhibitors filling booth space covering 630,000 net square feet. The show, which is a trade-only event, attracts more than 65,000 industry professionals from all 50 states and 100 countries.

This year at the 2015 SHOT Show in January, the ShockEater® Recoil Pad will be featured in the the “New Products Section” and we will be onsite in the Peregrine Outdoor Products booth (#943) to provide a hands on demonstration of how ShockEater®  “Eats the Kick” of recoil on each and every shot.

We’ve been waiting a long time for this one! The Grand American never disappoints and we expect this year will be no different. 2014_ATA_Grand_Logo

The Grand American World Trapshooting Championships, annually held in Sparta, IL at the World Shooting & Recreational Complex, is the largest shooting event of its kind. Spanning multiple days with more than 20 events, shooters from all over the globe come to compete in hopes of claiming one of the available prestigious titles such as “Clay Target Champion”. 

As the ATA states, “Since its inception in 1900, the Grand American has grown from a mere 20 competitors to more than 5,800 participants in 2006. Over the years, the likes of Annie Oakley, Roy Rogers and John Philip Sousa have participated in the Grand American. In its current format, the Grand American consists of 24 events spanning over an 11 day period. The first 5 days of the tournament are referred to as “Preliminary Days” in which competitors may fine-tune their skills prior to competing in the championship events of “Grand Week. Not only is the Grand American the largest shooting tournament in the world, but it also offers competitors the opportunity to explore the most advanced products and services in the shooting industry. The WSRC is a spectacular site in itself. With more than 1,000 camping sites, 100+ exhibitors, and thousands of competitors, the Grand is more than a championship. It’s a celebration of the sport.”

More than 100 exhibitors will be on-site to provide products and services ranging from gun sales and services, to shooting accessories and apparel. Conveniently located near the trap line, these exhibitors offer a shopping-mall type atmosphere to shop for that special item. That’s where you’ll find us! 1st-Red-Bird-Challenge-2014

ShockEater® at the 2014 Red Bird Elite Challenge

As our youth following for the ShockEater® Recoil Pad and recoil sensitive shooters continues to grow, we’re pleased to announce our participation in the 1st Annual Red Bird Elite Challenge on July 18-20 a the Cardinal Shooting Center in Marengo Ohio. The tournament kicks off on Friday morning and continues on throughout the weekend. Teams will consist of 5 shooters that shoot on the same squad, based on their grade in the upcoming school year. Classifications are as follows:

  1. Rookie – 5th grade and under
  2. Intermediate – 6th thru 8th grade
  3. Junior – 9th thru 10th grade
  4. Senior – 11th thru 12th grade

Awards will be given to top 3 individuals per division and top 3 teams per division. Join us for another great event highlighting our future shooters!

PA Game Commission Youth Field Days

Our focus on youth continues this week by joining the PA Game Commission’s Youth Field Day at the Butler City Hunting and Fishing Club. Pennsylvania has many sportsmen’s clubs and conservation groups stepping up to introduce young people to hunting and the outdoors. These groups provide day-long events featuring activities such as firearm shooting, turkey calling, trapping, canoeing, camping and much, much more. Each event offers a brief introduction to many different, enjoyable outdoor recreational activities. An adult must accompany all youth participants and can accompany more than one youth.

Come out to learn more about the outdoor sports and see how ShockEater™ shooting products are supporting new and youth shooters!

2013 USYF Youth Fest

The Wisconsin DNR, in partnership with the United Sportsmen’s Youth Foundation announces the 2013 1st Annual YOUTH FEST

The event will be held at Wern Valley Sportsman’s club In Waukesha (outside of Milwaukee), WI on Saturday, September 14th. 9AM-5PM
The event is officially partnered with the United Sportsman’s Youth Foundation, a 501c(3) organization whose mission is to introduce youth to hunting, shooting, conservation and the outdoors.

The event is FREE, and will host approximately 1000 youth and their families, almost all of whom are inexperienced or first-time shooters. ShockEater™ is happy to participate in the event and help encourage the growth of responsible youth shooters. Join us! For more information, visit www.USYF.org
